AT THE TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING
BY ELLIE HALL

After lying to the press about having a girlfriend, Jake Twiles must work with a PR representative to smooth things over. The last thing he expected was to walk into that office and find the woman he eloped with 10 years ago–the woman he's technically still married to.
Was I frustrated by many things (miscommunication, tax fraud, incomplete backstory) while reading this book? Yes. Yes, I was. But, overall, I had a good time reading this. It was cute and funny.

BREAKAWAY TO YOU
BY LARISSA HOMMES

Piper swore she’d never date a hockey player again. She learned that lesson the hard way. She loves her job as a physical therapist for the Minnesota Wolves, her favorite team growing up. It hasn’t been hard to keep things professional with the players. That is, until Zeke Lawson walks through the door.
Breakaway to You was a fun hockey romance. I couldn’t help but root for Piper and Zeke from the very beginning. Their connection was really sweet. If you enjoy a cute sports romance, I would recommend you check it out!

CHECKING YOU TWICE
BY LARISSA HOMMES

Hockey player, Holden Prescott never expected to find love, let alone for it to fall straight into his arms. After catching a falling photographer and saving her from serious injury, he finds himself captivated by her excitement and carefree spirit. They share an impulsive kiss under the mistletoe and expect to never see each other again. When Belle accepts her boyfriend’s invitation to a Colorado resort the week before Christmas, the last person she expects to see is her mistletoe mystery man. Who also happens to be her boyfriend’s cousin…
Checking You Twice was a fun Christmas romance. Both Belle and Holden were realistic characters with likable qualities. I loved their instant connection. This would be a great story to read if you’re in the mood for the holidays. Definite Hallmark vibes.

BY THE DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT
BY TIA MARLEE

When Hadley runs into a cute guy at the bookstore, she decides she’s got nothing to lose when he asks for her number. He may only be in town for a few weeks, but it could be fun to get to know him a little while he’s here. The last thing she expected was to discover that he’s a professional hockey player, visiting for the Stars and Stripes Hockey Tournament.
I had the best time reading this book. I loved the characters from the very beginning. Hadley and Bryce’s meet-cute was so natural and realistic, and I love that there was actual hockey being played in this book. It was great.

THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR
BY DINEEN MILLER

Kinsley is excited for the opportunity to cover the Stars and Stripes Hockey Tournament for the publication she interns for. The problem? The other intern, the son of her boss. The man has no motivation and constantly makes her job harder. The other problem? The hockey player she spent one evening talking to two years ago and still hasn’t been able to forget. Of course, he’s playing in the tournament.
What an adorable book! Here I thought I wasn’t a fan of the second chance romance, but this one… it’s a winner! I also really liked Kinsley’s work storyline and how she did what she needed to do in order to move forward in life.

GRUMPY DARLING
BY ALEXANDRA MOODY

Grayson and Paige have been best friends forever. Grayson wants more but he isn’t sure Paige is interested. Paige is bound and determined to have her first kiss before she graduates. Paige “hires” Grayson as her dating coach to ensure she gets that first kiss.
I am quite enjoying the Darling boy “universe.” I loved the whole best friends to lovers theme, and the group chat Parker created was hilarious. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a cute, clean romance!

RIVAL DARLING
BY ALEXANDRA MOODY

Violet has sworn off dating jocks after being burned by the captain of her school's hockey team. Pretending to date their rival school’s captain, Reed Darling, might be the only way to get her ex to leave her alone. Too bad Reed is determined to show her that not all hockey players are jerks.
I thought this book was really cute. I quite enjoyed my time reading it and the storyline had me interested throughout the whole book. Some of the rumors that were spreading about Reed and his family were a little wild, but I found them to be thoroughly entertaining.

ABSOLUTELY NOT IN LOVE
BY JENNY PROCTOR

Gracie Mitchell swore she’d never date another hockey player. How is it that she ended up living next door to Felix Jamison, goaltender for the Harvest Hollow Appies? Naturally, she pays him little attention, especially when his teammates “accidentally” knock on her door instead of his. Repeatedly. When a plumbing issue in her apartment leads to spending time with Felix, she begins to wonder if she was wrong.
Absolutely Not in Love was absolutely adorable. I loved continuing the series with another member of the Appies Hockey Team. Overall, I loved the characters in this book (hooray for more Appies!). I loved the sports vibes, the little bit of fall vibes, and the sweet romance.

ROMANCING THE GRUMP
BY JENNY PROCTOR

Nathan Sanders does not do relationships. He’s known for a long time that his schedule as a hockey player would get in the way when it came to having a serious girlfriend, so he’s ruled it out. When he meets Summer, he can’t deny their chemistry. Despite his intense feelings for her, he can’t seem to get over his past and his thoughts when it comes to being a hockey player and having a relationship.
I cannot get enough of the Appies! If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan. I was completely caught off guard by a connection to characters from the Hawthorne Brothers Series and I loved that. It was like getting to see an old friend.

WHEN ALEC MET EVIE
BY JENNY PROCTOR

Evie and her daughter moved to Harvest Hollow for a new opportunity and a fresh start. Alec hasn’t seen Evie in years. When he shows up to help move her things into her new house, he can’t take his eyes off of her.
I loved Alec and Evie’s story. I especially loved Evie’s character. She has a 4-month-old baby girl and a narcissistic ex-husband. It was a nice shake up from the other young adult female main characters in the other books. This book was emotional and heartwarming.

JUST ONE OF THE BOYS
BY LEAH ROOPER, KATE ROOPER

Alice’s dream is to play for the Chicago Falcons junior hockey team. She thinks her life is over when her twin brother, Xander, gets picked for the team instead of her, just because he’s a boy. When Xander has an accident and can’t play on the team anymore, there’s only one thing left for her to do: pretend to be Xander and play for the Falcons. Oh, and try not to fall for any of her teammates.
This book is so funny. It reminded me of the movie She’s the Man, and I loved it. I loved Alice and Hayden’s relationship, but some of the things they did together, as two male friends, seemed a little unrealistic. I’m not a guy, so I really wouldn’t know, but I don’t think they take their friends out to their favorite stargazing spots… Anyways, it was great.

A GROOM OF ONE'S OWN
BY EMMA ST. CLAIR

Eli loves playing hockey for the Harvest Hollow Appies. The team is like a family to him. He’s living his dream. Until he learns he has a problem with his visa. He has 30 days before he will be deported to Canada. He will lose his spot on the team by the time everything is sorted out. There are no other options. Unless he gets married. Too bad he’s not even dating anyone…
Hilarious book club, glue gun mishap, fake marriage with real feelings. Need I say more? I think I will since I’m obsessed with this book. I must warn you, it’s impossible to read A Groom of One’s Own and not fall completely in love with Eli Hopkins. He’s the sweetest guy I’ve ever read about.

AS YOU ICE IT
BY EMMA ST. CLAIR

When Naomi applied for a new job within her company, she didn’t realize she’d be moving to Harvest Hollow–the town where her casual summer fling currently lives. As much as she tried to keep things casual, her feelings became much more and she ended things before she and her son, Liam, could get hurt. Unfortunately, she can’t stop thinking about Camden. And judging by Liam’s new hockey obsession, he really misses him too.
I love the Appies! Obviously, I’ve loved all the characters in this series, and it’s been fun to revisit them in each book. I also love all of the hilarious group chats they have going on. I highly recommend you check out the series!

JUST DON'T FALL
BY EMMA ST. CLAIR

When Parker’s childhood crush (and brother’s best friend) ends up back in their hometown playing hockey for the team she works for, she can’t help the feelings that surface. Then she goes and tells the tiniest lie that Logan will be coming with her to her Dad’s birthday gala as her date. What is she going to do now?
I love the Appies! This book was so much fun to read. I loved every minute of it. I also appreciated the ‘never been kissed’ angle the author took with Parker’s story. Logan was quite lovable as well. How could I not love him when he took Parker to a bookstore on a date

MY LUCKY CHARM
BY COURTNEY WALSH

This story takes place after My Phony Valentine and features Poppy’s sister, Eloise. Eloise is a ray of sunshine everywhere she goes. She can’t help it. It’s just who she is. She is in need of a job and an interesting opportunity presents itself. The Chicago Comets Hockey Team would like to hire her to be an ‘assistant’ to one of their players. A particularly cranky and ornery player. Who needs a major attitude adjustment. Good thing Eloise loves a challenge.
Hours of sleep were lost due to this book. I could not make myself put it down even though I knew I needed to. No regrets though… I would highly recommend it!

MY MERRY MISTAKE
BY COURTNEY WALSH

Raya is a workaholic. She thrives on being busy. But a serious health scare has her life turned upside down. The doctor’s recommendation: rest. How is she supposed to do that?!? Finn has been waiting for Raya to take him seriously. Maybe this is his chance to prove to her he’s more than just a goofy guy who plays hockey.
I loved My Merry Mistake! The story was fun and festive. The Christmas cheer was great! I’d give it a 5/5 on the Christmas spirit scale. I loved the family and friend relationships, especially the sisterly bonds between the three sisters.

BY COURTNEY WALSH

Poppy Hart is in line at a coffee shop in town when she makes an impulsive decision while being pestered by a mean girl from her high school past. She grabs the arm of the man in front of her and pretends he is her boyfriend. Mercifully, he goes along with it. One thing leads to another and the two are thrown into a fake relationship.
This small-town fake dating romance was super fun to read! My Phony Valentine was full of fun characters (the Grandma was a personal favorite) and I found myself smiling as I read it more often than not.
