Nathan Sanders does not do relationships. He’s known for a long time that his schedule as a hockey player would get in the way when it came to having a serious girlfriend, so he’s ruled it out. When he meets Summer, he can’t deny their chemistry. Despite his intense feelings for her, he can’t seem to get over his past and his thoughts when it comes to being a hockey player and having a relationship.

I cannot get enough of the Appies! If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan. I loved Nathan and Summer’s story. I always enjoy the old “grumpy guy/sunshine girl” situation. Nathan was a good grump. He’s the team’s ‘enforcer,’ so he’s protective and loyal. He’s quiet and never smiles–that’s a little sad but don’t worry, Summer makes it her goal to get him to smile. Summer is the perfect girl for Nathan. I enjoyed her overall positive attitude and how bold she could be. I was completely caught off guard by a connection to characters from the Hawthorne Brothers Series and I loved that. It was like getting to see an old friend. This book made me laugh and smile. I loved every minute of it. Highly recommend!
