Evie and her daughter moved to Harvest Hollow for a new opportunity and a fresh start. Alec hasn’t seen Evie in years. When he shows up to help move her things into her new house, he can’t take his eyes off of her.

In the author’s note, Jenny Proctor says this is her last book in the Appies series and I hope with my whole heart that it isn’t true! It can’t be true. There’s another book in the series by Emma St. Clair but I can’t stand the thought of the series ending. I loved Alec and Evie’s story. I especially loved Evie’s character. She has a 4-month-old baby girl and a narcissistic ex-husband. I admired her determination and bravery. She wasn’t feeling sorry for herself, she was 100% focused on being a good mom and providing her daughter with a good life. It was a nice shake up from the other young adult female main characters in the other books. Evie is probably my favorite female main character of the series. This book was emotional and heartwarming. Alec experienced his own struggles and I really felt for him as well. So glad Alec and Evie found each other! Once again, the team dynamic between the hockey players was perfection. Their group text is one of my favorite parts of this series. The ending was fantastic. It brought me to tears. Automatic 5 stars for making me cry. Loved this book!
