Greyson and Hallie first met in Munich, Germany. Their connection was instant, but time was short. Years later, Greyson can’t believe his eyes when he sees Hallie in his hometown. He’s changed enough that she doesn’t recognize him, but he knows exactly who she is.

Frost and Flame is the fourth book in The Firemen of Waterford TN series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there is some character overlap that will make the most sense if read in chronological order.

This story incorporated a past and present timeline. I really liked the flashbacks to Greyson and Hallie’s experience in Munich. I was excited to read Greyson’s story after seeing him in the other books, and I have to admit that I’m a little disappointed. Sure, we got to know him a little bit, but I felt like it wasn’t much past the surface level. Once Hallie and Greyson reconnect, they kind of go all insta-lovey and the story is more about them navigating their secret relationship than it is about either of them. The third act conflict was silly, and the ending didn’t seem like the characters I thought I knew.

Overall, I would say this book was cute and worth the read. It just wasn’t my favorite. It was full of the characters I’ve grown to love over the series. There were some new characters I loved as well. Mia, Hallie’s 7-year-old daughter was adorable. The community is so friendly. Waterford seems like a great place to be.
