Throne of Glass #6
TOWER OF DAWN

Chaol and Nesryn have traveled far in hopes of gaining allies in the inevitable war against the darkness. They face many obstacles all while fighting for their lives.
When I first started reading the Throne of Glass series I did a little research on the reading order. By the time I got to Empire of Storms (#5), I had completely forgotten about the tandem read you can do between Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn. It wasn’t until I picked Tower of Dawn up off my shelf and read the back (after finishing Empire of Storms) that I realized the two stories take place at the same time, following different characters in different places. My heart hurt that we weren’t continuing the story I had just finished. I was a little upset if I’m being honest… I can’t even imagine how readers felt when following this series as it came out. But, I started reading and I quickly became invested in the story and was able to let go of my hurt feelings a little bit. I loved Chaol from the very beginning of the series so I was happy to follow his story. I was slightly less interested in Nesryn, but was entertained by what was going on for her throughout the book. The connections all over this series are blowing my mind! Next time I read the Throne of Glass series, I’d like to try the tandem read method and see how I like that in comparison to reading them in order. Although I really enjoyed reading this story, I’ll probably rank it a little lower on my list of favorites from the series. One more book to go! I can’t wait!
