Finale picks up two months after the end of Legendary with Tella still mad at Legend and definitely not ready to forgive him for walking away from her. Meanwhile, Legend’s getting ready for his coronation and becoming the king of Valenda. But when the fates start wreaking havoc after being freed from the deck of destiny, Tella and Legend have to deal with the consequences of their decisions and figure out a way to save the empire.

The first two books in the series were formatted as the five days of Caraval and we had an ultimate goal or thing that needed to be done right from the start. Finale definitely wasn’t like that, so it was kind of weird. And because of it, it felt like during the first part of the book, I was just waiting to figure out where this all was going. But, as the book went on, the pace picked up pretty fast and the ending was amazing, just like the others. I liked how we saw a little bit more of Scarlett in this book than we did in Legendary, but I did think her giving Nicolas a chance was kind of trivial. I get that it was supposed to prove that she’s changed since the first book, but her actions later in the book show that a lot better to me.

Finale was a nice wrap up to the series. The ending for Tella and Legend and Scarlett and Julian was well deserved, and I just hope they can take a little bit of a break now. Overall, I really liked the Caraval series and would highly recommend it.

Finale was a great book! I absolutely loved it! I feel like this story followed up Legendary so well. I loved the magic system, it really grew on me over the course of the trilogy. I loved the different character types we had throughout the books. I really enjoyed the concept of the ‘Fates’ and their being immortal. The way the magic system worked with the immortals kept me on my toes. It wasn’t easy to predict what was going to happen.  The whole issue with the immortals not being able to love humans was perfect. And I Absolutely Loved Jacks! He’s my favorite character of the whole trilogy. Finale made me gasp and left me shocked on more than one occasion. As much as I struggled with Caraval (the first book in the series) I really enjoyed the next two. I’d highly recommend this series! And I can’t wait to read about Jacks again in Once Upon a Broken Heart!!!
