After being trapped in the magical world of the Jester of Fates, Adelina and Alder must find a way to save their friends.

I loved this story! It picks up shortly after the events in book #2, thank goodness. We were left on quite a cliffhanger and most of this story is about the characters resolving that situation. Once again, I loved how witty the characters were. Even when they were in dire situations, they were making me laugh. The sense of humor is one of my favorite things about this book and the trilogy as a whole.

I love the characters in this story. I was fascinated by Grigg’s way of thinking as a con man. I loved Adelina and Alder’s determination to save their friends. I really disliked the Jester of Fates. He was an especially hate-able sort of evil. He’s right up there with President Snow of The Hunger Games. I was desperate for them to find a happy ending. The story was captivating. It was emotional. I teared up a little bit at one point. I couldn’t stop reading. Honestly, I was so nervous about the situation they were in. The ending was insane! I was pretty much holding my breath until the very end. I absolutely loved Chant of Cheats! I highly recommend this series! I thought E.A. Winters did a fantastic job telling this story. It was original, creative, and entertaining. I can’t wait to try one of her other series.
