Big Sister

Evie loves her job being assistant to the villain. She’s never felt more at home than when she is at work. When something goes horribly wrong, Evie is left to protect everything they’ve been working for.
I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Assistant to the Villain left us on a cliffhanger and we picked right up where that book left off. It was fast paced and just as entertaining as the first book. I love Evie’s and The Villain’s sense of humor, especially when they’re talking to each other. We learn more about the characters and their pasts and I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Once again, Kingsley is my favorite character and we learn some interesting things about him. Fair warning, I would not classify this book as clean. It’s got far too much language and although I would say that there is low spice, it has some dirty jokes and mentions intimate moments in the character’s pasts.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of this book. It picked up right where the first one left off, and the cliffhanger was immediately addressed. It was great. But then I kind of lost interest in what was happening, and it wasn’t until halfway through the book that I became more invested. That being said, I still really liked it. I think Trystan Maverine is the perfect balance of good and evil—what I wish every morally gray character actually was. And I love Evie. She’s so funny. Am I a little bit confused about the whole Rennedawn thing? Yes, but I’m sure the third book will clear all of that up.
