Madeline and Cooper are the worst of enemies. After playing multiple pranks on each other, the principal calls their parents in for a meeting. Sparks fly between Madeline’s dad and Cooper’s mom. The last thing they want is to have to spend time with each other because of their parents. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Madeline and Cooper agree to fake date each other in order to keep their parents apart.

I was immediately interested in this book after reading that it was a ‘reverse Parent Trap’ situation. I loved that idea. The book did not disappoint. It was everything I hoped it would be. We Are Never Getting Together was so much fun to read. I was giggling to myself from the very beginning. I loved the dedication page–even that made me laugh. I loved the author’s writing style. I was immediately sucked into the humor of the story and the witty banter between Cooper and Madeline. They were both quick thinking and humorous throughout their dating charades. The story is told from both of their perspectives and I really enjoyed being able to see inside both character’s heads.

We Are Never Getting Together was a fun, lighthearted, entertaining story. This is the first book I’ve read by Janette Rallison, and can I just tell you, I need more! We need more books like this in our lives. I couldn’t put it down! I highly recommend it!
