Lottie just wants to enjoy her senior years. When people start coming around asking questions about her past, she has no choice but to come out of retirement to keep her secrets. Unfortunately, being a serial killer is much harder when you’re 75 years old.

I don’t know where Samantha Downing comes up with these stories, but I love it! Keep them coming! Who would have thought a geriatric serial killer could be so entertaining? I loved how she was comparing her murders now to how much easier it was back in the day. How she never had to worry about cameras or cellphone tracking back in her hay day. I also thoroughly enjoyed how she was playing into the elderly aspect of it all. Pretending to be more disabled than she really is to keep people off of her trail.

I spend a lot of time with the elderly population. So, because of that, I was slightly annoyed at the fact that she is 75 years old, but acting like she is pushing 90. Now as I said before, she was acting like she was more disabled, but even when she wasn’t pretending, she was acting like she could drop dead anytime. Which I suppose is technically true, but I will argue that 75 is not that old.

Towards the end of the book, there was a moment that I thought was gonna turn this book into a five star read. But unfortunately what I was hoping was going to be a whole conspiracy, ended up being a coincidence. Don’t get me wrong, this book is still amazing and definitely worth the read! I highly recommend it, and I can’t wait to start on my next read from Samatha Downing.
