The last thing Rebecca expected was to be drawn to the man who almost ran her off the road on a speeding horse. When he turns back to make sure she is ok, she’s surprised by his kind and gentle nature. That’s why she doesn’t stop him from kissing her right then and there. She can’t keep the kiss from replaying in her mind over and over again. When she accepts a job working as a server for a dinner party, she learns that the man she kissed is not who he said he was.

I really enjoyed this book. I do love a good regency romance, so The Valet’s Secret looked like it was right up my alley. I loved Rebecca and Kenneth as the main characters of this story. Their perspectives were a little different from the usual viewpoint when it comes to a regency romance. They were both more mature characters, in their 40’s I believe. They were widowed, with adult children, Rebecca worked in the service industry, and Kenneth was newly in line to inherit his uncle’s estate. I loved Rebecca’s character especially. I feel like we rarely get to read from what seems like ‘behind the scenes’ in a regency story. Their forbidden romance was adorable. First with the hidden identity, then with the social class difference issues. I loved the fairy tale angle. The story had some Cinderella vibes without feeling like a copycat. I really loved the author’s writing. Overall, really cute story. I highly recommend.
