Sloane and Logan met 5 years ago in an airport. Sloane was going on her honeymoon trip alone. One thing led to another, and Logan went on her non-honeymoon trip with her. They’ve been best friends ever since. They go on a tropical vacation every year in the middle of winter. Logan has had romantic feelings for Sloane for the last two years and hasn’t said anything. This year is going to be different!

The Relationtrip was a fun summer read. The yearly vacation that Sloane and Logan go on sounds amazing! They go for 10 days! I’ve never even dreamed of such a thing. It sounds incredible, being able to go visit a place for that long. You’d be able to go on all the adventures and see the area but also have time to do absolutely nothing and relax. Yeah, I’m completely jealous over here… However, if I was the one on this vacation with my best friend, I’d like to think I’d be a lot more level headed. Sloane drove me crazy. Her defining trait is the fact that she’s irrational. And it was annoying. This is the third book I’ve read by this author, and the main female lead has been basically the same person in each book. And she’s very irrational! The way she reacted to Logan, specifically, drove me crazy. Logan pretty much carried all the weight of their relationship while Sloane was dealing with her irrational thoughts. Sloane’s behavior didn’t feel realistic to me because there was so much focus on her being irrational. Have I said ‘irrational’ enough? The Relationtrip was a cute summer read, but I might have to forget about how much Sloane bugged me for me to read it again.
