Reese has had a hard couple of years. She’s a recovering alcoholic with a lot of support from her brother and friends, but she can’t help but feel like she messes everything up. When her brother asks her to go to Texas to retrieve a motorhome as a surprise wedding gift/honeymoon for his fiancé, Reese feels like this is her chance to prove she can keep it together. But why does Tristan, her brother’s friend, insist on tagging along?

I really enjoyed The Relationship Remodel. This is the first book I’ve read by Callie Thomas and I thought it was very well done. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. It was fast paced and I loved the romance between Reese and Tristan. Their banter was witty and fun and quickly changed from two ‘enemies’ to two people dating. I loved how Tristan realized he wanted to be in a relationship with Reese early on in the story and didn’t try to hide it. Reese made some mistakes in the past and she worked hard to overcome them. I loved reading about a main character who has struggled and has to work every day to keep going. While the story was deep and meaningful, there were some fun elements that made it feel lighthearted. The RV they go pick up is all decked out in cat decorations–apparently it had been owned by a lady who loved cats but was allergic. The small town was charming, and their community seemed to be filled with people who genuinely cared about each other. The story included themes of faith and I really loved that component. I loved this book! I highly recommend it and I can’t wait to read more by Callie Thomas!
