Moriah Pearson answers the phone at work one day only to learn that her grandmother is ill and wants her to come back home to help put on the town’s Halloween Festival. As a corporate event planner in Chicago, she hesitates to leave her current clients and upcoming events, but she ultimately decides to head home to Candlewick Creek to do what she can to help save the town’s festival.

If you didn’t guess based on the summary above, this story was pretty much a Hallmark movie in book form. And I loved it! Maybe it was a little cheesy at times, but how can you not love reading about people discovering the simple things that make them truly happy in life? The Pumpkin Patch Pact was an overall uplifting story. The fall vibes were amazing!!! I think this book has the best fall vibes out of all the fall books I’ve read this year. It was a Halloween festival they were planning but they didn’t really focus on the Halloween things. It was more focused on pumpkins, farming, and their town’s agricultural history. I would say you would enjoy this Fall read well into November if you’re looking for a seasonal read.

The ending was a bit odd. It was what I would expect from a Hallmark movie, except it was a lot more focused on the business and career aspect of our main couple’s lives instead of the romance. Honestly, that part fell a little flat for me but overall it was a cute story that was especially clean, and I really loved that. If you’ve read this book, let us know what you thought of the ending.
