!!!!!!! I don’t even know what to say, that was so crazy! I knew people loved this series, so I was hoping this would be good, but it passed my high expectations. I wasn’t so sure how I felt about it in the beginning, when Cassie was living with her family, but once she joined the Naturals in Virginia, I could not put this book down.

It was the perfect balance between a love triangle romance situation and mystery/action. In a weird way, the romance reminded me of The Summer I Turned Pretty (the show, since I haven’t read the books), and I can’t say I hated it. Which is new for me because I’m not the biggest fan of love triangles. Michael is definitely giving Jeremiah (not as bad though), and Dean is giving Conrad (but maybe not as good?). I loved all the camaraderie between the Natural’s—Cassie, Michael, Dean, Lia, and Slone—though. Their stupid fights, jokes, and immaturity were very entertaining.

I was completely sucked in (and disturbed. In the best way?) by their research on profiling serial killers. I loved all the plot twists—I was so sure I had everything figured out, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was amazing! I can’t wait to start the next book.

*This book is about profiling and getting in the minds of serial killers. The main character learns to think of the killers not as he or she, but as I or you. Reading it is kind of disturbing.
