Paisley is upset that her mom has decided to sell their family summer camp to move them closer to her new boyfriend's family. Hayden has always been a trouble maker and finds himself spending the summer at this camp. Hayden decides to help Paisley break up her mom and boyfriend so she doesn’t have to move and the camp doesn’t close. What could possibly go wrong?

I loved the little shenanigans that Paisley and Hayden were up to trying to break up Paisley's mom and her boyfriend. It reminded me of the Cheaper By the Dozen movie where the kids are trying to run off the oldest sister’s boyfriend. I found it to be quite comical! Speaking of Cheaper By the Dozen, I was also reminded of the second movie. At the summer camp in the book they have daily competitions between the kids and a big competition between boys and girls at the end. In the second Cheaper By the Dozen movie they have the different competitions between the two families. In my head while reading about the competitions I kept seeing the Baker and Murtaugh kids competing. Enough about Cheaper By the Dozen, back to the book.

The romance in the book was cute and I felt like it was very age appropriate, these kids are barely sixteen. It was a little fast how Paisley went from not necessarily liking Hayden to wanting to date him and being upset that her friend was basically calling dibs on him. Still it was cute and enjoyable to read.

The driving force behind the book is that Paisley’s mom’s boyfriend wants to move to be closer to his mom because her health is declining. Respectable, right? Well, if I am not mistaken, at the beginning of the book they mention that Paisley’s Grandma is in a nursing home in their current town. So you are telling me that we are gonna ditch this Grandma for another one? Kinda rude if you ask me…

Overall I would highly recommend this book to all lovers of clean young adult romances!
