A scientist turns himself invisible and has to deal with the consequences.

This book started out fairly slow and I was a little bit confused—there were a lot of people introduced that I had a hard time keeping straight, and I wasn’t even sure if I was supposed to. So, the events that take place in the beginning of the book, in Iping, I’m a little hazy on. But after the invisible man, Griffin, left Iping, I felt like the pace picked up and I was way more invested. I loved the part when Griffin was telling the story of how he became invisible and ended up in Iping. That was probably my favorite part, and it makes me wonder if I would have liked the beginning better if it was from his perspective. I just really loved Griffin’s personality/attitude. That’s probably bad to admit, but I was thoroughly entertained. He was grumpy and irritable and some of the things he said just made me laugh: “Every conceivable sort of silly creature that has ever been created has been sent to cross me.” I was slightly disappointed by the ending, though. It was very fast… and I have questions…
