Monica and Peter simply wanted to go trick-or-treating. Instead, they find themselves on a deadly scavenger hunt looking for the five masks stolen by Dr. Screem.

I loved it! This story had the perfect amount of scary for a children’s book to still be entertaining for an adult. I really liked how each chapter basically ended on a cliff hanger. It kept me reading and kept the pace of the book nice and fast.

Right when I thought I had the pattern figured out for them collecting the masks, it changed! I really enjoyed that. Instead of the story becoming predictable, it became more intriguing.

I really loved the ending of this story. It’s just what I would expect from a Goosebumps book! I highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a spooky Halloween read!
