Logan hasn’t stopped thinking about the bookish girl he met at a Spring Training event months ago. He has a good idea where she could be, but he hasn’t been able to find her.

The Fall Classic was a fantastic addition to the Catching Feelings series by Kate Watson. After reading Logan and Georgie’s meet-cute in the previous book, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen between them. I cannot lie, I absolutely love a bookish character. Logan and Georgie’s collective bookish-ness was off the charts! They bonded over books and poetry from the moment they met and that continued throughout the story. I especially loved how their thoughts kept referencing back to one specific story they were debating. It was beautiful. I thought it elevated the ending. Brought it full circle.

Logan and Georgie both had a lot going on in their heads. They had past traumas that influenced their behavior and we were able to see them work that out, both together and individually. I appreciated the realistic take on all of it. Overall, I would say this story is a little lighter on the baseball than the previous book in the series, and a little heavier on the mental states of our main characters. There were a few fall vibes, but I felt like they were minimal.

I really enjoyed this book! I’d highly recommend reading the entire series in order to get the most out of it. If nothing else, I strongly encourage reading The Setup Man before The Fall Classic. Logan and Georgie meet in The Setup Man.
