Ava and Jett were high school sweethearts. 8 years ago Ava broke Jett’s heart when she left him so he wouldn’t give up on his football dreams. Jett doesn’t know if he can ever trust Ava to not leave him again.

This was a cute romance book. As you all are aware I kinda Love one of Ranee S. Clark's other books Playing for Keeps. So I was definitely excited to check this one out. I for sure enjoyed it, but it’s not my new favorite.

I do enjoy a good sports related book so this story delivered in that aspect. I quite liked how Jett was not interested in people knowing his personal life despite the fact that he is a star quarterback. It’s nice to see people not being interested in all the fame. I also liked how Jett was willing to give it all up just to have a family. Kinda adorable.

I was frustrated throughout the book that Ava and Jett were dancing around topics and not really talking to each other. A lot of the drama could have been avoided if they just communicated. Now I do understand that a book needs drama otherwise there is no storyline. But it still annoyed me.

All that being said, I have the next book in the series and I fully intend on reading it. And there are also other series centered around other football teams by Ranee S. Clark that I plan to read someday.
