Shelby is a dog walker. Imagine her surprise when she takes one of the dogs home and finds the owner dead.

This story was pretty good for a novella. At this point, if you all didn’t know, I really don’t like novellas. There just isn’t enough time for the story to pull me in and entertain me. They generally go too fast and leave a lot to be desired. But, I love all things Samantha Downing, so I knew I had to give this one a try.

The storyline was good. I was trying to figure out what was going to happen and I wasn’t able to guess it at first, which is always nice. I just really wish it was a full blown book. But, you can’t always get what you want.

I really love how Samantha Downing always pulls everything together in the end. It makes you look into each little “clue” as you are reading.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes novellas and is interested in a short little thriller!
