Ray loves scaring his little brother Brandon. When Ray happens upon the wooden dummy, Slappy, he just has to have him. Maybe he can use Slappy to scare Brandon.

This one hit close to home for me. I used to have this recurrent nightmare as a child of my toys coming alive at night. So, a wooden dummy that comes alive to terrorize you… yup, that’s scary stuff.

I really enjoyed the pace of the story and all the different twists and turns that it took. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a scary read that's appropriate for kids.
