After making a horrible first impression, Xavier asks Samantha on a date and she surprisingly says yes. The date is incredible. But things in Samantha’s family life aren’t great and she needs to go take care of her mom.

It makes me very sad to have to DNF this book. It seems like a cute story and I really wanted to read it but the language ruined it for me. This is very much due to my personal preferences when it comes to language in a book. I’m sure the author is very talented and this is nothing against her. I just don’t like seeing so many swear words in my books. It bothers me. There is an F word on page 10 and when a book starts like that I can only assume there will be many more to follow. There were several other curse words and it seems like they are a very natural part of the characters dialogue and thoughts. I have another book by this author on my shelf so I’ll have to take a look at that and see if the language is similar. I’ve heard good things about her books, but like I said, the language is an issue for me so I’ll move on to something else.
