Oakley Island #3
SADIE AND THE BAD BOY BILLIONAIRE
EMMA ST. CLAIR, JENNY PROCTOR

Sadie has a very specific skill set when it comes to computers. She’s often hired by government agencies to dig up important information. When she takes things too far and uncovers some information the bad guys would rather she hadn’t, she’s suddenly in need of a place to hide. Heading out to Oakley Island is the most logical option.
Do you ever jump into a book without reading the summary? I did that with Sadie and the Bad Boy Billionaire so I was a little surprised when I learned the story was all about Sadie’s life being in danger. I should have suspected something like that when her career was mentioned in the previous books, but the thought didn’t occur to me. The authors brought a small ‘Traci Hunter Abramson’ vibe to the book so I thought that was exciting. You know we love high stakes, classified information, and government agencies in our stories! It was very unexpected but I thought it was fun and I loved getting to know Sadie and Benedict a little more after their appearances in the other books. I especially loved Benedict and his “boat” crew’s interactions. We learn so much about who he is by the way he treats them. One of my favorite things about this book was the appearance of a hockey player from a certain team I love (from the series also written by Emma St Clair and Jenny Proctor). It was a minor detail, but I absolutely loved it! And the reappearance of Banjo the Raccoon was fun even though I’m still not sure how I feel about a real-life Banjo. Fiction Banjo is pretty cute. But have you ever seen a raccoon in real life? Out of the three Oakley Island books, I would say that Merritt’s story was my favorite. Sadie’s would be second. I had a good time reading the story. I would recommend checking out the series.
