Oliver and Poppy are both flying to Rochester for family events. Their first impressions of each other are less than stellar, but when their connecting flight is canceled due to weather, the two end up sharing a rental car to make the drive.

I love a good holiday travel disaster romance. Planes, Reins, and Automobiles did not disappoint! This was such a fun book to read! I loved Oliver and Poppy. Their opposite personalities and the banter between them was witty and entertaining. I absolutely loved the anonymous online friendship situation. The subject matter they were connecting over was not a subject I know much about so their online conversation was a little hard for me to follow at first, but after the first few chapters I felt like I was up to speed. I was pulled into the story right off the bat. There were some tough topics that influenced our main characters and I thought the author handled them really well. It was a cute rom-com, but there was a lot of emotion to this story as well. I would highly recommend this book!

This story is set during the holidays, but I can’t lie, about halfway through the book I had a moment where I stopped and thought, “Wait, is this a Christmas book?” I couldn’t remember anything specific about Christmas and I began to wonder if had just assumed they were traveling during the holidays because that’s a common theme or if it actually was happening around Christmas time. Towards the end of the book, it was confirmed, this was taking place during the holidays. Then I remembered a few Christmas things from the beginning. It was a great book and I really enjoyed it, but I’m going to have to give it a 1/5 for Christmas Vibes. There was a lot of snow but mention of Christmas or Christmas themed items was minimal.
