I loved Once Upon a Broken Heart! This story takes place after the events in the Caraval series. Jacks was my favorite character so I was very excited to read this book. I would recommend reading Caraval first, but I know some people haven’t and still really enjoy this book. I loved the storyline of Evangeline making a deal with Jacks. I loved Evangeline as the main female lead. She has such a good heart. It was fun to see her character interacting with Jacks, as he is the villain of the story. I also enjoyed reading more about some of the other ‘Fates’ we didn’t learn about in the Caraval series. I love the world they’re in. The magic is interesting and I enjoyed the different kingdom/traditions we read about in this story. There were several moments where my jaw dropped and I gasped out loud. I highly recommend you check out this series. I can’t wait to read the next one!
