NOVEL THREAT

Brandon Hale is planning on leaving the CIA when one of his sources is killed after giving him some information. Brandon decides to finish what he started and follow that information to an undercover job in a New York publishing house where Kimber, also undercover CIA, is working to get her book published while trying to take down the bad guys.

What a good book—Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again! This book was fast paced and funny and everything a good romantic suspense novel should be. I immediately fell in love with Brandon and Kimber. I found it so interesting how Brandon just kinda ended up in the CIA and was looking to leave to pursue his passion as an editor. And I couldn’t help but like Kimber as a CIA finance officer with hopes and dreams of becoming a real author (after having written three books in secret). I love how they kept getting forced into random situations with each other and how there was a nice balance between regular life/romance and the whole finding-the-information-to-stop-the-terrorist-thing. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Another win for Traci! Are we surprised? No! Everything she writes is pure gold! Not to brag, but when I opened the book and saw it signed to The Girlzzz, I nearly fainted–again–remembering the moment we met her and got our books signed. One of the greatest days of my life. Is the picture we took together on my fridge? Yes! Is it going to stay there forever? Also yes! This is a healthy obsession, I promise.

Anywho, onto Novel Threat! This book was action packed from beginning to end! I couldn’t get enough of it and was constantly wondering what was going to happen next. I loved the insight this book had into the publishing world. I have never really thought about what all goes into getting a book published, so this book was very eye opening. Who knew books are written over a year before they’re published? Not me. I do now though.

Traci said this book is the closest to her real life that she has ever written. She is probably talking about the CIA to author of it all. But, in my little world, I’m going to pretend that she was thrust into the author world to help stop a terrorist attack.

This is the very first book of the Pen & Dagger Series and I am eagerly awaiting the next book! You all know I’m going to be reading it!
