One night when a woman and her two children are sleeping in their house, someone decides to join them…

It has been a hot minute since a book has given me nightmares. This one did it! And I kinda loved it! The whole concept of the book is just straight up horrifying, in the best possible way. The fact that what happened in this book could happen to anyone is what gives it its edge.

One part of this story that I found interesting is how not a single character has a name. It’s her, her husband, her daughter, her son, the sergeant, the neighbor. Even the villain is “the corner”, because he lurks in the corner… Wild concept, but it worked.

Would I ever read this book again? Probably not, too many nightmares. Would I read another book by her? Yes! I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a psychological thriller!
