Speri was born an Unmarked. Doomed to the outskirts of the city, she has no real access to the system or the ability to level. Dire circumstances have taught her valuable skills. When she’s caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, she finds herself the top suspect in a high-profile murder.

Monster Makers was my first LitRPG read. I’ll admit, it took me a little time to get into the story, but once I did, I really liked it. There were a few instances where I struggled with events making sense. It seemed like something would happen out of nowhere. But I understand, this is how things happen in video games. Things don’t always make sense. It’s just the way of the world/system.

I thought the world was fascinating. The structure of the classes was a huge part of the story. Speri was an Unmarked. An outcast. Raz was determined to rise to the top of the social ladder. My favorite scenes were when these two were working together. The ending was insane. I can’t wait to see what happens next! This is going to be a great series!
