LOVE, LIFE, AND THE LIST
KASIE WEST
Middle Sister

4 Stars
Last year Abby confessed her feelings to her best friend, Cooper. When he didn’t respond well, she played it off as a joke. She can definitely get over him, right? While on a mission to give her artwork more heart in order to get into the local art show, Cooper joins her in completing her ‘Heart List.’ Despite her best efforts she is still in love with him, but will he ever feel the same?
I have said it before and I will say it again, I love a Kasie West book! Her books are always so clean and so cute. I am a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope and this book did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this book to any fans of romance.

Love, Life, and the List was a lot of fun to read. The story is about Abby, an artist who realizes she needs to grow as a person in order to create more meaningful artwork. I loved the idea of Abby coming up with a list of things to do throughout the summer to help “grow her heart.”
The items on Abby’s Heart List, as she calls it, were meaningful activities that would change a person in real life. I appreciated the realistic nature of the list and its purpose. The descriptions of how she incorporated those newfound feelings into her paintings were very well done. I really enjoyed reading about a character with a passion for painting.
The characters in this story were entertaining and made it a lot of fun to read. I loved Abby’s sarcasm and sense of humor. The teasing between Abby and her Grandpa Dave was endearing. Although, I kind of felt bad about how often she called him an old man… But he didn’t seem bothered by it.
I don’t recall being so emotionally invested in a teenage romance for quite some time… My heart broke for Abby towards the end of the book. I felt like I’d been let down by Cooper, her mom, and Grandpa Dave. It was so sad! Despite the heartbreak, I really enjoyed this book! Check it out, along with the other standalone novels in the series.
