After Juliet’s mom dies, her entire world falls apart. She can’t seem to cope with her grief and the only thing that makes it better is writing letters to her mom. She didn’t think that anyone else would ever see them, but then Declan finds one and decides to write back.
I can’t even tell you how much I love this book. It very well may be my favorite book of all time. I’ve read and reread it a thousand times, and I’m gonna keep reading it because it only gets better each time I do. I love Juliet, Declan, and Rev. I want to be best friends with them, and this book makes me feel like I am. I’m a sucker for an anonymous letter writing situation, but this is way better than any other I’ve seen before, book or movie. Juliet and Declan start off writing each other because they understand each other’s grief and pain. This book is very realistic because everything isn’t happy and not everything works out, but that just makes the good moments even better. Go read this book. Just do it. You’ll thank me later.

Letters To The Lost is a literary masterpiece!
This story is amazing! It is sad, beautiful, and tragic all at the same time. I Love it! You can’t help but feel for Juliet and Declan and all the pain that they have been through. Plus we have the anonymous letter writing situation, which has been established as an all time favorite trope of ours at this point.
I love that when Juliet realizes that it’s been Declan writing to her the whole time, she doesn't freak out and hate him for it. I feel like in most stories that would be the big “third act break up.” Instead, she understands why he didn’t tell her and she accepts him for it. Again, can I say beautiful?
There is a second book in this series, More Than We Can Tell, which I will be reading promptly. But I really wish Brigid Kemmerer would write more books like these. I know she writes fantasy books too, but those really aren’t my cup of tea. Anywho, I will be starting the second book now. Let it be known that I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It’s a beauty!
