I’ve decided I should probably stop reading books that I randomly find and think I might have read before. If I don’t remember what it was about, I probably didn’t like it the first time and really won’t like it the second time. That’s what happened here. I don’t know if I just had an idea in my head of how I wanted the story to go, so I was mad that it didn’t work out that way, or if it really was as stupid as I thought. The relationship between Stephan and Elizabeth was very insta-love and I wasn’t really into it. I also thought Elizabeth was very selfish which just got worse as the book progressed, and a lot of the things that she said and did made me feel embarrassed for her. That being said, Elizabeth’s brother, Laurie, might have been my favorite character. He actually acted like a normal human being and he was pretty funny. But tell me why Laurie and Stephan are the ones who had the relationship building conversation about Stephan’s past? Yes, Laurie is gay (which is a fairly big part of the book), but he has his own love interest and Stephan’s supposed to be with Elizabeth. I don’t understand. I don’t understand why a lot of things happen and are said in this book.
