Lennox Hawthorne has poured his heart and soul into opening his own restaurant on his family farm’s property in a small town in North Carolina. He is incredibly annoyed to find out that his sister, who runs the farm and event center, has hired his rival from culinary school as their new catering chef. As the two come together their old rivalry seems to pick up right where it left off, but there’s something else there too…

What is it about Jenny Proctor’s books that just suck me in? This one was no different. I had such a fun time reading it. I cruised through it in a couple of days. In the beginning it’s very obvious that Lennox and Tatum do not like each other. Their interactions start a bit hostile but it seemed like they quickly became flirty and fun. They tease one another and even though they want to fight it, they can’t deny the chemistry between them. Once again, I have to mention how much fun the Hawthorne Brothers are. They truly are each other’s best friends and I find it so refreshing to read about a close family like theirs. I think it could be read as a stand-alone novel, but I highly recommend reading the Hawthorne Brothers series in order. You won’t regret it!
