Sydney enjoys her simple life on the ranch she inherited from her Aunt and Uncle, but she has to admit that she’s grown a little bit lonely over the past couple of years. On the evening of her birthday, she makes a wish, somewhat jokingly, for a tall, dark, and handsome cowboy with manners to show up at her door step. Within a few minutes of blowing out her candles, that wish comes true when a banged up, handsome stranger with no memory comes to ask for her help.

I watched a movie the other day where a few birthday wishes came true so I’m suddenly having high expectations for my birthday wishes… I enjoyed reading this cute, clean romance over a couple of days. The insta-love trope isn’t my favorite, but I thought the main characters’ immediate need to protect each other was sweet. Our handsome stranger having amnesia was an interesting twist. I’m not sure if it’s sweet that he didn’t know anything about himself but knew that Sydney was the woman for him, or odd… but the mystery of his past sucked me in so I didn’t care if it was weird. This is book 1 in the Unforgettable Cowboy series. The theme appears to be cowboys and amnesia. That’s kind of making me laugh a little bit as I write this, but I can’t lie. I’m kind of interested in reading more.
