Billy spends every summer on his uncle's boat. When Billy discovers a mermaid, he finds himself in some serious trouble.

Compared to the other Goosebumps books I have read, this one wasn’t as scary. It was more of an adventure than a horror story in my mind. The ending was classic Goosebumps though.

I did enjoy my time reading this one, especially because I love me a shark story. Even though at most, we could call it a shark cameo. I still liked it. I wasn’t opposed to the mermaid and “sea monster” parts of the story, but my heart yearns for the sharks ;)

Overall this was a good book, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a children's adventure story.
