Ivy is more than excited to spend Christmas in Denver with her best friend, Law. He’s invited his family and closest friends to come watch his football game on Christmas Day. Law’s neighbor/friend, Chad, is in need of some help with his girls while on their vacation and Ivy is happy to step in. She’s been friends with the single dad for a while. So why is she feeling the way she is about him now?

Christmas Lights & Just Mights was an adorable Christmas novella. The Christmas cheer was off the charts! The story takes place mostly from December 23-25th so there were many Christmas activities that our characters were participating in. There was ice skating, light seeing, family dinner, and Christmas morning gift giving. I loved it all. I didn’t realize this when I started reading, but this novella is part of the Houston Pumas series. I should have known that… it says this on the cover… but I missed that in my excitement to read this cute story.  I’m not familiar with any of the other characters in the series, but I still really enjoyed the book. There were a couple of moments where I felt like I was missing some background information but it was minimal so I would say you could go ahead and read this as a stand alone if you wanted to. I really enjoyed our main characters, Ivy and Chad. The way they were so right for each other after their past struggles made me so happy. And Chad’s little girls were so cute! Overall, I really enjoyed this story. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Check it out!
