I have mixed feelings about this book. The storyline was good. I liked the references to different Rom-Coms even though I haven’t seen all of them. But I had a hard time with the overall tone of the book. The word that comes to mind is ‘crude.’ The cat’s name is Mr. Fitzpervert… They constantly say things like, “Holy Balls,” or “I want to tongue-kiss them” and the teens call each other rude names throughout the book. Even the love interests talk to each other like this! And I just don’t enjoy reading that kind of thing. Because of that, I don’t see myself reading the sequel. This isn’t my definition of a Clean Read.
