I really enjoyed reading Beauty and the Beach. I cruised through this book in one day… I loved the enemies to lovers and marriage of convenience combination. Phoenix and Holland were dedicated to their rivalry. It was very entertaining. I loved both of their characters immediately. Their nicknames for each other made me laugh out loud. They were both quick thinking and their remarks were full of wit. I really couldn’t get enough of these two together.

I enjoyed the summer setting of this story. Compared to the other books in this collection that I have read, I feel like the Independence Day festivities were a little weak. I loved seeing the other characters that I am familiar with and I was excited to see some I hope are the main characters of one of the other books.

This story was fun and lighthearted. The characters were witty. But the story revolved around real themes and our characters were both working through their traumatic pasts. I thought the author did a great job telling an entertaining story while tackling those tough topics. I loved reading this book! Highly recommend!
