A group of students gather to use the magical teleporting system on their school’s campus. An argument erupts at the same time as the magic occurs to transport them and they end up in the middle of nowhere.

This book blew my mind! I picked it up because I was looking for something outside of my usual genre. All I knew was that it was about students from a magical school, there was some sort of incident, and one of them ended up dead. I’ll admit, it took me some time to get into the story, but once that happened, this book was all I could think about. I believe I said, “this is insane!” multiple times. The adventure of this story was the best part. I don’t want to give away too much, you’re just going to have to trust me on that. It was insane! Overall, I liked the group of characters the story centered around. However, I really didn’t like Ren, the main character. She has a huge chip on her shoulder. Even though I didn’t like her, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. This is #1 in a trilogy. I have a little bit of an idea as to what the ultimate story will be, but I have no clue what’s going to happen over the course of the next two books.
