When a young woman gets abducted after recently starting internet dating, Jacklyn Wyatt gets involved in the investigation of trying to find her. As a 25-year-old college attending Mormon girl with no ties to law enforcement, Jacklyn has no business tracking down bad guys. But when all the suspects want to go out with her, what else is the FBI, and Special Agent Damon Wade, supposed to do.

This is the funniest book I’ve read in a long time. The sarcasm was right up my alley (most of the time), and this was a super fast paced, fun mystery with a splash of romance. I could not put it down and ended up reading it in one day—staying up way too late on a week night. Jack (Jacklyn) was funny, Damon was broody, and why did I also become quite fond of Samuel? I don’t know, but it was great.

The only part that really bothered me was at the beginning, when Jack was first being taken to the FBI. There was an entire chapter of Jack’s inner monologue about being abducted by two men in suits, even though they showed her a badge and were clearly law enforcement. It was pretty annoying and unnecessary. Occasionally, throughout other parts of the book, her sarcasm and humor were also a little too much and a little too forced.

The ending was nice but also a bit abrupt. I wish there had been a little bit more after the mystery was solved, especially about Damon and his beliefs. But there is another book about Jack and Damon, so I have high hopes to get what I’m looking for there.
